Tamara McGavock

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Grinnell College and a member of Grinnell's Global Development Studies and Education Studies concentrations. I am also the Chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Grinnell, which provides ethics oversight for research on human subjects.

I completed my Ph.D. in 2016 in the economics department at Cornell University, where Francine Blau led my graduate committee. My fields of research are development and labor economics--see more on my Research page.
